The Community support for the children, families and staff of the OEYC is nothing short of amazing and heartwarming. We need a commitment from the board that this centre will remain open as it is, until they can reverse their decision to close the centre or arrange a seamless transition to a new licensed operator and most importantly that no child loses their place and no families are ever again put in this untenable situation by this board or it's successors again. For this we need a guarantee from the funding agent, the Ontario Government as well that the funding for this vital child care centre in our town continue to whatever level it needs to be.
