We have reached another new milestone in our campaign to stop the proposed rezoning of 1800 Turtle Mound Rd (14.37 acres) from 1 acre home sites to six units per acre--over 1,500 signatures.

Last night, the City of Melbourne leadership discussed our concerns, unanimously agreed to support our position, and Mayor Paul Alfrey will ask in writing for the County Commission to deny the application. We will be meeting with Vice Mayor Julie Kennedy tomorrow and she will hand carry his letter to the meeting.

We are preparing for our remarks to be heard and submitted into the record of the County Planning and Zoning Board next Monday at 3 p.m. in Viera. We will have five key points to make and three minutes for each speaker to make that point.
