Skydance Media is currently seeking FCC approval to acquire and merge with Paramount Global. This merger is personal to me. However, the course of this strategic alliance is being destabilized by FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, who continues his unjust attack on both entities due to a 60 Minutes interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris.

For too long, political bias has been allowed to cloud reasonable judgment, hindering progress within our media industry. This situation has escalated, rendering essential media corporations like Skydance, the victims of an unnecessary battle. We must recognize the troubling pattern of the politicization of non-partisan units like the media. It’s time to stand with Skydance and Paramount Global as they strive to operate harmoniously within our media landscape.
