My name is Lani Daisley, 12 years ago, my life was irreversibly changed due to a traumatic encounter with the police. I was assaulted, battered, and falsely imprisoned by the very individuals sworn to protect our rights – PC Kim Rock and Hughshon Gamble. They conspired against me, fabricated evidence, and then gave false testimonies on the stand. Despite the severity of their transgressions, they have never been investigated, reprimanded, or terminated.

It is chilling to know that there are officers who can so brazenly break the law without fear of reprisal. The current system makes it difficult to report and complain about police misconduct, thereby emboldening those who abuse their power while leaving victims helpless.
