Lastminute.com - Refund our money!!
The Issue
My name is Jaime Origel Banco and I represent hundreds if not thousands of affected customers of lastminute.com. We are all in the same predicament as noted below:
1. We have all spent hundreds and thousands of pounds/Euros/Dollars for holidays, flights, etc.
2. These flights and holidays have subsequently been automatically cancelled by the airlines or resorts or individually by the customers on the advice of the FCO in the UK and other country jurisdictions.
3. Lastminute refuse to refund our money and will not answer email, telephone queries, or other social media queries.
4. I assist in administering a Facebook group of almost 200 members currently (who are victims of lastminute.com) which is growing by the days.
5. I have filed a ABTA complaint and they tell me under their charter lastminute is ethically (not legally binding) obliged to process refunds which are protected by ATOL certificates and the majority are.
6. Many members of the group are pursuing chargebacks through their credit card, debit card, etc.
7. We need for latminute.com desperately to pool all of these complaints and give us our money back in the form of a monetary refund, not a voucher as the 2018 travel industry law indicates currently.
