There is a crisis at Animal Foundation. They are paid millions of dollars by the city and county to handle stray animals in Las Vegas. However they are turning away strays. Despite all local restrictions being lifted, they remain appointment only for adoptions and lost and found, which has left the shelter full. People cannot reclaim their animals or adopt an animal. Owners have waited weeks with no response.  Christine Robinson, with her $250k+ salary, hasn’t been on site in more than a year. AF received $1.25 million PPP loan on 2/11/2021 yet remains understaffed. Cages are filthy. Animals are being neglected. Staff are overwhelmed. And despite their “no kill” publicity campaign, they frequently euthanize animals with treatable medical conditions. Or they pawn animals off on rescues who are overwhelmed and without the same resources. Finally, despite laws mandating animals be fixed and an already overtaxed system, they are adopting out unfixed animals. Robinson must be removed and there must be accountability and transparency at Animal Foundation.
