The city of LaPorte wishes to construct a “corridor” on the east side of town. This will be a four lane highway that will result in many people losing their homes and destroying farmland. They reason that it will remove truck traffic from downtown.Yet all the businesses in town receive deliveries via trucks. The corridor will do nothing to stop that. They are determined to move forward regardless of the destruction and loss.
