Signatures to show langlade county animal abuse will not be tolerated
The Issue
Please sign the petition and let langlade county know you will not tolerate animal abuse in langlade county! On July 13th I dropped off two horses at James and Connie Piotrowski’s house On 64 in white lake wi where mike and Jamie Piotrowski ran a trail riding business. Jamie was to saddle train train my 5yr old mare Nova and I let her use my other horse a 9yr old paint named Jag. Both horses are sweet friendly Well behaved show horses. Both had been shown 4-H with my children On July 16th 2019 my horses just disappeared. Only nova was recovered. She was found with a injury to her rear leg and instead of attempting to find transport to bring nova back the 5 miles Jamie and mike opted to pull the mare behind a pick up truck on the road with a injured leg AGAINST WISCONSIN STATE LAW the 5 miles back to the farm. Once back no support was given to the injured mare other than a couple cattle aspirin boulus tabs And use of a hose. I picked up my mare the next day July 17th she was in agony laying in the mud for hours without any concern of the Piotrowski’s not even any hay had been made available to her. The mare was barely able to stand on her own with her rear hooves severely damaged worn down not even able to wear shoes there was not enough hoof left and swelling to her legs. She required months of rehab and stall rest to heal the damage to her body and rear hooves, to date the other horse Jag has not been found. I have been in contact with langlade county sheriff officer defiore in regards to getting charges pressed on the Piotrowski’s for this clear cut case of animal abuse but have not made any progress. I am hoping with the support of the animal lovers that the county’s district attorney will finally take the time to do what’s right and bring charges forward for this clear case of animal abuse on my mare. I know I will not be able to get justice for my still missing horse Jag but at the very minimum justice needs to come forward for Nova. She did not deserve to painfully suffer due to the hands of Piotrowski’s like she did.
