Animals are like our children, we care for them, & love them. People who rent wouldn't pay a fee for having a child & they shouldn't have to pay an unnecessary pet fee or be told to surrender their animal because it's too big even though it's not a breed that's on the dangerous dog list. There are too many loving and gentle animals that are surrendered daily because of unnecessary reasons, some are continuously passed on from household to household others are given to people who mistreat and abuse the animal & most of the time when someone is unable to find their pet a new home they surrender the animal to a shelter that will possibly euthanize the animal. This petition is to help stop tenants from being forced to surrender their animal against their will because of a landlord who dislikes the animal.
