Toxic Health Hazard and Life Endangerment Issues around and nearby Landfill Site on New England Road, Pietermaritzburg.

Over the years, the landfill site has become a health hazard, toxic and harmful for the residents around the area and nearby areas due to the Excessive Hazardous Fumes and fume Stenches emerging.

The Residents are constantly inhaling of these fumes by which Doctor visitations has increased due to the effect of these fumes.

Have the health department and waste management department become so negligent and allowing these health hazards, toxins to pollute the area and cause distress to Residents of the immediate next door areas, adjacent areas and close by areas.

Is the health care and municipality going to look into controlling these harmful toxic fumes from emerging futurely and concern themselves with protecting the health of the people and be more cautious of the adverse effects caused through inhalation on a constant, day in and day out basis.

The children and elderly are being affected more due to immune systems that can't handle.

The next alternative is for the people to bring about a closure to and from the dump site of all waste vehicle going through to dump and stop all operations within the landfills.

The excessive waste on the roads, in the drains and gutters is enough to contend with and to top it up now these harmful, toxic fumes and extreme fume stenches evolving due to lack of control protocols not set in place and being the wrong location for such operations to take place.

We the public are having it to over our heads and no department is taking it serious of its adverse effects its having on us Humans.

We are now forced to have it shut off and non-operarional until matter is resolved to have more Stringent and health safety controls and measures set in place at current location and to finally have the landfill itself moved to a more appropriate location.
