Happy Weekend,
A heartfelt thanks to 14,896 of you who have have signed my petition. Let’s get to 15,000!
I continue to voice my views on corruption and apathy at the Revenue Department in Bengaluru Urban DC's office because of which my file has been pending for years. All this despite an order from the honorable Karnataka High Court and several of my petitions to the Deputy Commissioner and the Chief Minister.
An article in Deccan Herald yesterday highlights this issue in Bengaluru North Deputy Commissioner's office - Revenue dept sleeping on tainted KAS officer's files
The posts of tahsildars and the assistant commissioner in Bengaluru Urban district are highly coveted, with the High Court expressing concern over officials “shelling out money” to get the postings.
M G Shivanna, a KAS officer who was assistant commissioner of the Bengaluru North subdivision till recently, is under a shadow in three cases involving land dealings. He had earned the ire of the High Court in one of them.
In its order dated March 15, 2021, the High Court said Shivanna was involved in a “diabolic conspiracy” and “abused his office” to pass an order in favour of one Muniraju, who had claimed ownership of one acre and 30 guntas in Doddathogur of Begur hobli.

More about my quest for justice
- My father (ex-serviceman) purchased a parcel of land in Bengaluru Urban district in 1995
- Local revenue officials refused to issue the title (Katha) even after registering the sale deed.
- I took the matter to the Karnataka High Court. Officials contended that the land in the area was under investigation and the Honorable HC order for Writ Petition 46964 (2017) directed enquiry “shall be concluded within six months therefrom.”
- Local officials of Bengaluru Urban DC have refused to act on this order.
Several of my petitions to the DC and Chief Minister have gone unheeded. (latest meeting notes) - I filed an RTI and received an office copy of the file from DC office. A review shows there are absolutely no legal impediments noted and the latest notation says “case posted for order” since May 2021
- As this is a BJP ruled state, I reached out to a Legal Officer (Lawyer) who is karayakarta of @BJP4Karnataka . He tried to reach out to the minister and officials in vain (Twitter response)
- After waiting for several years, my lawyer has agreed to file another Writ Petition in Karnataka High Court requesting an action within 3-months
I am not deterred and will not give up my legal fight. After waiting for several years, my lawyer is filing another Writ Petition in Karnataka High Court requesting an action within 3-months.
Jai Hind!
