Thanks to everyone for signing this petition to show your support for the motion.  It passed with no votes against so Lancaster is now a Right to Food district!  The Ecosocialist, Labour, Green and Lib Dem councillors all supported the motion; the Tory councillors all abstained apart from the Mayor who voted in favour. If you live elsewhere, then you should contact your local councillor and ask them to bring a right to food motion.  Let's get every town and city supporting the Right to Food.  It's absurd that we even need to do this in the 21st century, but we do need to build nationwide pressure to show that a quiet majority in the UK actually still have decent values.  The Right to Food motion is sweeping through councils and you can make sure that your council is next!
