First let me thank those of you who turned up on a wet cold afternoon to meet Sian Berry Green Party Mayoral Candidate outside our library to raise its profile in the local press. We will be meeting politicians of all parties to lobby on behalf of our library and keep it in high public profile. Then let me praise even more the 40 or so people from Crystal Palace who braved the atrocious weather and trogged down to Brixton for the Lambeth Libraries March. We are so fortunate to live in a community that rallies round to protect its own. If you can please show your support for our library by attending the Scrutiny Committee on Tuesday Night at 6.30pm at Lilian Bayliss School, 323 Kennington Lane, Kennington SE11 5QY. I believe Lambeth can come up with so much better proposals and united we will persuade them to do so.
