Friends, more good news – Lakeside Industries has asked for an extension to submit answers to DPER’s request for documentation regarding wetlands, traffic, drainage, and more, to this October.  This gives us the opportunity to build support and request action from our political leaders.  With enough of your support, we can get the permit denied and put this entire nightmare behind us.  This is an especially good opportunity to continue building on our successes.

There are many ways you can help:

1.       Keep writing to our political leaders, many of whom have gubernatorial or presidential aspirations – Contact list here:  Hand-written letters are especially effective.

2.       Keep posting No Asphalt signs everywhere.  Even handmade signs are effective.

3.       Keep contributing to our Legal Defense Fund – every dollar counts. Click HERE to contribute.

4.       Share our Change.org petition.  Currently we have nearly 5,000 signatures.

Hope to see you all (1) for our monthly protest this Saturday, Aug. 11th from 2-4 p.m. at the proposed site [18825 SE Maple Valley Road] and (2) at the community meeting this Sunday, Aug. 12th at the Fairwood Library from 3:30-5 p.m.

Keep up the great work and momentum!
