The school district decided to remove the mask mandate in our school district. This is very dangerous and irresponsible to put into effect, especially after spring break, when people are coming home from traveling. This puts students, teachers, and parents/guardians who are more susceptible to Covid-19 at a higher risk. Sandpoint High School mandated masks since the beginning of this year, providing a safe learning environment for students after the previous year was entirely online. Removing this mask mandate does not only create unsafe conditions, it also makes things like prom and graduation more hard to justify and plan. Our Seniors deserve a safe prom and graduation especially after both of our upperclassmen years have been effected by the devastating arrival of Covid-19. Please help us communicate to the the small group of school board members, who decided this without communicating with the county's students or teachers, that we want a safe rest of the school year. That we DESERVE a safe rest of the school year. 

GOAL: Require masks at SHS until changed on a state level by getting half of all students and faculty to sign, along with family and friends who care about the school and community's safety!!
