LMCC proposes to reduce our weekly general garbage collection to a fortnightly service. This is a terrible initiative! Although it is very important to reduce landfill waste, this is NOT the way to do it. I propose that a weekly bin collection be maintained but with a smaller bin. Why? Because, frankly, no one wants a bin with soiled nappies or other rotting non recyclable, non green waste sitting around and getting progressively smellier over  two week period ~ especially in summer!

So, in the interests of health, hygiene and sweeter smelling bins, I would ask that, if you are a resident or business owner in Lake Macquarie That you sign the petition asking LMCC to maintain a weekly general bin service.
