The fight to preserve our Historic Districts in Lake Forest continues.  The developers of the McKinley Road condominiums, Todd Altounian and Peter Witmer, have sued the City of Lake Forest for damages and the right the erect the building that was voted down six times. 
Also named in the suit is the Lake Forest Preservation Foundation, the City Council, and every resident and neighbor who spoke at the City Council meeting in September.  
We hope and expect that the City will vigorously defend its duly-seated volunteer commissions.  The Plan Commission, the Historic Preservation Commission, and the City Council did the work and voted this proposed building down six times.
