As a student and a vegetarian, the new rules regarding excess sugar and salt consumption within school meals. Recently, my Sixth Form have stopped serving pizza & other vegetarian options due to their unhealthy nature; the other vegetarian options are made with a limited supply and are too expensive for the school to purchase more ingredients. Within my school, there was already a lack of vegetarian options and now, due to them removing them, there is now a lot less. This has made it more difficult for those who stick to a certain religion, culture and principle background.

I want and believe that schools should be given more funding to supply more options for those who are vegetarian and vegan. 

I have contacted The Department For Education for a response.
