Tara Durant, who partly campaigned on her occupation as an elementary school teacher, and on her concern for "kids," exploited and trafficked two innocent, and later exonerated, teens through the criminal-justice system out of revenge. One of those teens was Taylor Johns.

Tara Durant raced downhill in her SUV towards, and into, a crosswalk full of pedestrians and peaceful protestors, almost striking them, and called 911 on the peaceful protestors, because Tara Durant didn't agree with the protestors' presence in the pedestrian crosswalks or with the protestors' message advocating for people of color.

Tara Durant later provided her version of crosswalk events to Tucker Carlson, a Fox News talk-show host, who in turn commanded his legion of white-supremacist viewers to descend on Fredericksburg, VA.

After Tara Durant failed to deter the protestors with her SUV, with her 911 call, and with the enlisted help of Tucker Carlson, Tara Durant falsely accused two teens, one of whom had an alibi, of attacking Tara Durant's car.
