The Issue

On Thursday 14th July 2016 Wes Streeting MP for Illford North made an outrageous comment on twitter. He wrote " Hope Momentum will reimburse all those they've misled to sign up to affiliates who won't be able to vote" He was clearly referring to all them members who had joined Labour recently who fall foul of the six month rule to vote in the upcoming Labour Leadership Election, but most notably at those who cannot afford the £25 pound charge. This shows clearly that he does not have any true Labour values and he should be ashamed. Gloating at people who are denied their right to vote is an affront to democracy. It is an affront to what Britain stands for and most certainly an affront to what the Labour Party stands for! This £25 pound charge discriminates against the poor, young, elderly and disabled, the very people who The Labour Party should be reaching out to. Wes Streeting expressed the utter contempt he has towards them very people who have put him in a position of influence in order to represent them. We the undersigned request his immediate suspension from the Labour Party.
