To La Verne City Council and Mayor Hepburn:  We the undersigned petition La Verne City Council and Mayor Hepburn as follows:  We oppose the destruction of any part of the green space in Las Flores Park to construct a new building and parking lot for a teen center. It has taken nearly 50 years for this majestic stand of trees to become a distinctive focal point within not just the park, but the entire city of La Verne.  This grove and adjacent green space is enjoyed by La Verne residents of all ages and should be preserved. Please keep Las Flores Park the beloved park that it is. Don't change its character by destroying its open space with another building and more asphalt. There are other locations in the city.  Please do what is best for everyone.
