Do not widen White Avenue and ruin Old Town La Verne by making White Avenue four lanes for nonresident use. It's a 35 mph zone now and everyone drives 45. If it's increased to 4 lanes, they will drive 50. Residents will lose the ability to park in their own driveways and although the city is taking easement only, it will bring fast traffic that much closer to homes. Children will be unsafe walking to school and playing in their yards. There are other routes to the Gold Line (eg. Towne, Garey, Arrow)
