La roche university has recently changed their cafe/ food option availability. Redhawk, which is one of the two options for students to eat is closed Friday- Sunday and is open mon-thurs 10am-8pm.  Cafe hours have changed as well and we are only allowed 2 boxes and no other take out. Cafe hours are limited on weekend which makes it difficult for athletes and students who are working to eat. Many students on campus don’t have jobs or cars which sets another barrier to how they will eat. Red hawk is similar to ordering at a gas station on a kiosk. Many students have strong opinions on this current issue. The university administration also mentioned before move in that they would like students to stay on campus as much as possible. By changing the hours of our only two options on campus this makes it nearly impossible to not leave campus. Many other universities have multiple meal options and 24 hour food services. La Roche, has 3 different meal plans. The main one that many upper class men get is $580 in Redhawk and 6 meals a week in the cafe. By limiting the hours of red hawk You are reducing the amount of food we receive, which also means money from our tuition is going to waste as we pay the same amount we have in pervious years. This is not the first time people have had issues with the hours of dining services.
