This is Sonny, aka Crush from the Carson Shelter. Sonny was rescued by The Animal Debt Project where our puller had to watch while 2 shelters workers removed him from his kennel with a catch pole and a broom - laughing all the while at his fear and crying. We were not allowed to film this because they banned video from being filmed while using a catch pole. They injured his mouth and broke his teeth and ALMOST broke his spirit! We renamed him Sonny, because we want him to have a new name along with a new life. Sonny has been working with a trainer and the picture below was taken a few days ago. This is a dog who is no longer broken, who is smiling with soft eyes. THIS IS A WAIVER DOG FROM CARSON! This amazingly gentle and sweet boy would be PTS under their "new" policy. He was tormented by shelter staff, he lost 25 lbs while in Carson and today, he is our miracle boy! Sonny has a future, so many after him will not.
