Hello, my name is Woojin Kwak from Central Middle School and I want to ask if you could sign my petition about raising the minimum wage in order to decrease poverty in Connecticut as a whole. The current minimum wage in Connecticut is $9.15. I am planning to request to Connecticut Senators and Representatives to raise the Connecticut minimum wage to $10.10 because although Connecticut was one of the first states to raise minimum wage, we have not raised it enough. It is still impossible to support a family by earning $19,032 when you need to pay for rent, food, medication bills, phone bills, and etc. If this problems is solved, we can take all the people out of poverty in Connecticut.
