The most famous petition to get Amber Heard fired from Aquaman 2 has reached 1 million signatures!!
Precisely it's more than a million, currently it's 1.048.000!
Amber Heard may be in serious trouble for reprising her role in the next "Aquaman" movie, that is if the studio is paying attention to the over 1 million people that are protesting her return after Johnny Depp was just axed from his role in the upcoming "Fantastic Beasts" flick. The Change.org petition to "Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2" crossed the threshold of 1 million signatures on Thursday morning, making it one of the biggest public campaigns ever to publicly remove an actor from a film project.
Perhaps more interesting than 1 million people signing the petition against Heard, is that all the supporters are not fans of Johnny Depp. While Depp does carry a tremendous amount of support from his loyal fanbase, many of those against Heard have expressed outrage on behalf of victims of domestic abuse, as they feel the "Aquaman" actress has not been truthful about her encounters with Depp during their tumultuous marriage.
Others feel strongly that Amber Heard used the #MeToo to her advantage in the war with Johnny Depp, which they feel weakened the movement and opened the door for others to be taken advantage of.
In the wake of over 1 million people wanting Amber Heard out of "Aquaman," Johnny Depp is seeing rising support in those who want him back in the good graces of Warner Bros. for the upcoming "Fantastic Beasts" movie.
The petition to bring him back has almost reached 200,000 signatures.
