Amber Heard wants everybody knows she's a charitable person (among other things..) , but is it true or is it just another fishy move to boost her image? Well...
Johnny Depp has issued subpoenas to collect any documents and communication Amber Heard may have had with the ACLU and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles regarding donations that were made following the couple’s divorce.
it seems he has serious questions about how much money Heard actually gave and where the source of the funds originated.
The subpoenas are asking for "All documents that refer, reflect or relate to any donations made to YOU or for YOUR benefit by Ms. Heard, from January 1, 2016, through and including the present."
As part of their divorce settlement, that the actress would get $7 million from the actor as an equalization payment. As a caveat to the payment, it was agreed upon that the money would be donated to charity.
Shortly after announcing the settlement money would be going to charity, including the ACLU and Children's Hospital, Depp announced that he would be sending the money directly to the charities on her behalf.
Heard scoffed at her ex-husband’s decision and stated she "appreciates Johnny Depp’s novel interest in supporting two of her favorite charities” and the actor’s donation is “great and unexpected news,” but ultimately rejected the offer because it changed the terms of their agreement.
In the end, Heard was recognized for her donations and the “Justice League” star's name was included in a 2017 donors list for Children's Hospital.
