Sandy #A2020341, 4 yrs 62.2 lb., is heavy on my mind: I read her surrender notes a while back - Dumped for not being nice to the small family pup. I bet pack-walks might have helped.
In the questionnaire - What type of exercise was Sandy accustomed to? The Answer: NONE - Behavior with children (7 and up)? Answer: RESPECTFUL & exuberant!
Sandy was dumped at the shelter for not getting on with a small dog in the home (im not sure what the owners tried to help this issue); but she was sent off to the shelter!
Upon arriving at East Valley-she was terrified. Some animals shut down at the shelter, and that is what happened to her. But, volunteers were making progress... then, during a confusing incident in her kennel, she bit an AC officer. She was quarantined for 10 days and is now RED listed for euthanasia tomorrow at 4pm.
 WOW, JUST WOW!
She's beautiful and certainly deserving of a life. She was kenneled with another large dog and was fine. Some big dogs prefer other big dogs only. No crime, just personality.
She is anxious & fearful in the shelter and for that, she may lose her life.
To save Sandy we need a RESCUE and we really need a calm home with and understanding foster/adopter. She needs time, she needs exercise, and gentle pets, and love, and more TIME, and kindness, security and UNDERSTANDING.
Pls., consider fostering and we can try to find a Rescue.
Sandy is not a bad dog. She is a dog who's been put in bad situations and was given not tools to negotiate.
Sandy has been a failed dog. Lets change that.
