Now that the elections are over here in the United States, I can get back to my efforts of fully re-opening the animal pounds in Los Angeles County. I own a couple of homes in Big Bear, CA (see www.TeddyBearsRanch.com and www.TeddyBearsCabin.com) where when I'm not using the homes, I allow people to rent them for family vacations. Anyway, there was a local ballot measure attempting to stop home owners from renting out their homes so I had to divert my attention and fight a different battle to protect my home owner's rights. So, myself along with other concerned voters organized and spent the last 6 months fighting to make sure Measure O didn't pass. WE WON! Not only did we win, we RECALLED the City Council person who introduced the ordinance. When we come together for a common purpose, WE CAN MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. I'm starting to see we are going to have to create our own voter's initiative in Los Angeles County to fully re-open our animal pounds. That being said, I'm BACK to my fight to fully RE-OPEN the pounds here in Los Angeles County. I apologize for my absence but I needed to win one battle so I could afford to continue my fight here.
As I reorganize my efforts, please consider adopting or assisting Ulman listed below (see photograph attached to this announcement).
This is my 2nd post - Ulman is about to be Red Listed She’s petrified and has been on medication but is still so fearful that when you open her kennel she cowers in fear and defecates.
・・・
This is a tragic story- Ulman #A2050236
1yr 7 months 9.6 lbs
Came to the shelter as Stray, on 09/06/22
Her link http://www.laanimalservices.com/pet/a2050236
She is considered the MOST FEARFUL DOG AT THE SHELTER She defalcates when the kennel door opens- managers tried bringing her to a quiet office space to relax. Still she hides and has accidents.
This is heartbreaking and although she’s young CLEARLY she’s suffered serious trauma. Ulman has been observed as having a high level of FAS in the Shelter environment. Continued high levels of FAS can be detrimental to both the physiological and emotional well-being of the pet. Pets with elevated FAS that cannot be reduced will need to leave the Shelter for a more suitable home as soon as possible.
She hides all day under a blanket! This dog needs an exit plan or I fear she will not have much time.
If you can foster this type on dog/have experience - please offer to foster.
