Director Marcia Mayeda loses yet another contract for Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control. The City of Redondo Beach says BYE BYE MARCIA. A large chunk of money used to help our abandoned animals was just lost and has been awarded to spcaLA.

Changes to DACC Services for the City of Redondo Beach
The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) announces changes to services provided to the City of Redondo Beach. Beginning October 4, 2021, DACC will no longer provide animal sheltering services for the City of Redondo Beach. Instead, the City of Redondo Beach Animal Control Officers will transport found animals to spcaLA South Bay Pet Adoption Center located on 12910 S. Yukon Avenue, Hawthorne, CA 90250.

Residents are encouraged to contact the City of Redondo Beach Animal Control at (310) 318-0611 for additional information. To report immediate concerns or an animal emergency, call 9-1-1 or the City’s Animal Control non-emergency line (310) 318-0611.
