Mistakes kill. Tonight I wanted to research some information on the Los Angeles County Animal Pounds website but I couldn't get past the HUGE MISTAKE on their home page once again. Either this is progress or just another mistake. You tell me. First you see a prompt encouraging you to read Director Marcia Mayeda's response to L.A. County Supervisor's motion to get animals adopted. Then, you are smacked by a huge banner ad advertising that the animal pounds are open by appointment only. Then, a few banner rotations later... Appointment Only UNLESS messages.... Go look for yourself... https://animalcare.lacounty.gov

Are we really paying the Director of Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control hundreds of thousands of dollars each year plus an amazing benefits package for these kinds of mistakes? I mean...I'm not meaning to be disrespectful but I'd get a "F" on this "Managed Intake" project if it was a college course. Please Los Angeles County Supervisors can you get someone in there that knows how to reach out to an audience that lives in the 21st Century? Lives are depending on someone getting the messaging right.
