Petition to KRI, 3HO and the SSS Corp regarding The Teachings of Yogi Bhajan™

We the undersigned humbly urge you not to remove Yogi Bhajan’s name from Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajan™, our trademarked brand. We request a town hall meeting to discuss any changes to the by-laws or other documents, before any changes are made to the Teachings in any format.

Our Teacher’s archive of teachings - the extensive online Library of Teachings, the many books and yoga manuals, and KRI’s Level 1-3 Teacher Training textbooks - are the foundation of our lifestyle, our yoga community, yoga centers, Solstices, Childen’s Camp and Women’s Camp. Everything we are, and everything we have today, is a result of the Siri Singh Sahib’s generosity to serve the call, and teach young hippies searching for consciousness. He gave us a spiritual way of life we embraced and inspired us every step of the way. He entrusted us to be the pioneers of the Aquarian Age.

KRI and 3HO are the repositories of his lifetime of service, upliftment and enlightenment of humankind. Yogi Bhajan’s legacy and his message to us was to serve humanity. To remove him as the source of these teachings, events and trainings (and any products based on his formulas and recipes) is totally disrespectful and not without karmic consequence. How will we and Kundalini Yoga students and teachers tune into the Golden Chain and be graced without the Master’s blessing?

Kundalini yoga is the impulse of the entire cosmos and it shall come to you with grace when your Master will find you fit for it. Meanwhile you are apprentices, student-teachers. The crown of spirituality cannot be conquered; it is always bestowed. And it shall be bestowed on those who are faithfully, intelligently and consciously worthy of it.                          - Yogi Bhajan, 4/2/84

If we rename Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajan and remove the history of the Master and everything he said in his lectures, teachers will more likely feel free to modify the teachings. And we know the disastrous outcome this can have - when one teacher changed So Darshan Chakra Kriya, the Siri Singh Sahib said she would damage her pituitary by practicing it incorrectly. She is now on heavy medications and institutionalized. 

Yogi Bhajan may not have been perfect, but we believe the positive impact he had on thousands and thousands of people are a testament to his selfless service and dedication.  Despite the outcome of An Olive Branch’s investigation, we cannot alter the fact that Yogi Bhajan brought these teachings to us at no small sacrifice on his part. To worry about our popularity, the number of students we have, and our financial prosperity, is to barter our destiny and choose fate. We must stand for our Teacher’s honor and integrity as he stood for us despite our shortcomings and faults.

Nous les soussignés, nous vous exhortons humblement de ne pas retirer le nom de Yogi Bhajan de la marque déposée « Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajan ». Nous vous demandons une réunion de discussion ouverte pour débattre et examiner de tout éventuel changement aux statuts ou autres documents, avant qu’ils ne soient apportés aux Enseignements sous n'importe quel format.

Les archives de l’enseignement du Maître, la vaste bibliothèque en ligne « Library of Teaching », les nombreux livres et manuels de yoga ainsi que les manuels de formation des enseignants de niveau  1 à 3 de KRI sont le fondement de notre style de vie, de notre communauté de yoga, des centres de yoga, des solstices, du « Children’s Camp » (camp pour les enfants) et du « Women’s Camp » (camp pour les femmes). Tout ce que nous sommes et tout ce que nous avons aujourd'hui est le résultat de la générosité de Siri Singh Sahib répondant à l'appel et enseignant aux jeunes hippies en quête de conscience. Le retirer à la source de ces enseignements, événements et formations (et de tout produit basé sur ses formules et recettes) est totalement irrespectueux et non sans conséquences karmiques. Comment nous, les étudiants et les professeurs de Kundalini Yoga, pouvons-nous nous connecter à la Chaîne d'Or et être gratifiés sans la bénédiction du Maître ?

Si nous renommons « Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajan » (Kundalini Yoga tel qu’enseigné par Yogi Bhajan)  et que nous supprimons l'histoire du Maître et tout ce qu'il a dit dans ses conférences, les enseignants se sentiront probablement plus libres de modifier les enseignements. Et nous connaissons le résultat désastreux que cela peut avoir - quand un enseignant a changé le So Darshan Chakra Kriya, le Siri Singh Sahib a dit qu'elle endommagerait son hypophyse en le pratiquant incorrectement. Elle est maintenant sous intense médication et hospitalisée. 

Yogi Bhajan n'était peut-être pas parfait, mais nous croyons que l'impact positif qu'il a eu sur des milliers et des milliers de personnes témoigne de son service et de son dévouement désintéressés sans fin.  Quelque soi le résultat de l'enquête menée par « An Olive Branch », nous ne pouvons pas changer le fait que Yogi Bhajan nous a apporté ces enseignements aux prix d’un immense sacrifice de sa part. S'inquiéter de notre popularité, du nombre d'étudiants que nous avons et de notre prospérité financière, c'est troquer notre destiné et choisir le sort. C’est de notre devoir que de défendre l'honneur et l'intégrité de notre Maître comme il l'a fait pour nous malgré nos défauts et nos erreurs.

Wir alle, die wir diese Petition unterschreiben, setzen uns in aller Höflichkeit dringlich dafür ein, den Namen Yogi Bhajans keinesfalls von unserem Markenzeichen Kundaliniyoga nach Yogi Bhajan™ zu entfernen. Wir beantragen  eine Versammlung, bevor irgendwelche Veränderungen der Satzungen oder anderer Dokumente vorgenommen werden und um jegliche Veränderung an den Lehren in irgendeiner Form zu diskutieren.

Das Archiv der Lehren unseres Lehrers - die umfangreiche Online "library of teachings" die zahlreichen Bücher und Yoga Manuals und die KRI Level 1-3 Ausbildungsbücher - sind das Fundament und die Richtlinie für unseren Lebensstil und unsere Yoga Communities, Yoga Centren, Festivals, Soltices, Woman's Camps und Children's Camps.

Alles was wir heutzutage sind und was wir haben beruht darauf, dass Siri Singh Sahib großzügig dem Ruf gefolgt ist, junge Hippies auf der Suche nach mehr Bewusstsein zu unterrichten. Er gab uns einen spirituellen Weg, den wir angenommen haben und inspirierte uns bei jedem unserer Schritte.

Ihn als Quelle all dieser Lehren, Veranstaltungen und Trainings (und allen Produkten die auf seinen Rezepten und Formeln beruhen) zu entfernen ist in höchstem Masse respektlos und nicht ohne karmische Konsequenzen. Wie werden wir uns als Kundalini Yoga Schüler und Lehrer mit der Goldenen Kette verbinden, ohne den Segen des Meisters?

Wenn wir Kundalini Yoga nach den Lehren Yogi Bhajans umbenennen und die Geschichte des Meisters entfernen und alles was er in seinen Lectures gesagt hat, besteht die Gefahr, dass Lehrer die Lehren in ihrem eigenem Ermessen abändern. Wir wissen, welche katastrophalen Auswirkungen das haben kann - als eine Lehrerin die So Darshan Kriya verändert hat, wurde sie von Siri Singh Sahib eindringlich darauf hingewiesen, dass sie bei inkorrekter Ausführung ihre Hypophyse schädigen würde.

Sie ist nun auf starke Medikamente angewiesen und unter Beobachtung.

Noi sottoscritti vi sollecitiamo a non rimuovere il nome di Yogi Bhajan dalla frase “Kundalini Yoga come insegnato da Yogi Bhajan”, il nostro marchio registrato. Richiediamo un’assemblea per discutere di qualsiasi cambiamento agli statuti o agli altri documenti prima che qualsiasi cambiamento venga apportato agli Insegnamenti in qualsiasi formato.

Il nostro archivio degli insegnamenti del Maestro - la vasta Library of Teachings online, i molti libri e manuali sullo Yoga, i libri di testo dei Corsi di Formazione di 1°, 2° e 3 ° livello - rappresentano le fondamenta del nostro stile di vita, della nostra comunità yogica, dei Centri Yoga, dei Solstizi, dei Campi per Bambini e per le Donne. Se noi rinominiamo il Kundalini Yoga come insegnato da Yogi Bhajan ed eliminiamo la storia del Maestro e tutto quello che ha detto nelle sue lezioni, gli insegnanti si sentiranno più liberi di modificare i suoi insegnamenti. E noi sappiamo il disastroso risultato che ciò può causare - quando una insegnante modificò il So Darshan Chakra Kriya, il Siri Singh Sahib disse che avrebbe danneggiato la sua ghiandola pituitaria praticandolo in modo scorretto. Lei ha poi sviluppato una malattia mentale ed e’ stata sottoposta a trattamenti medici pesanti. 

Yogi Bhajan può non essere stato perfetto, ma crediamo che l’impatto positivo che ha avuto su migliaia e migliaia di persone rappresenti un testamento del suo servizio e della sua dedizione altruista. Indipendentemente dal risultato dell’indagine condotta da An Olive Branch, noi non possiamo alterare il fatto che Yogi Bhajan abbia portato questi insegnamenti a noi, a costo di notevoli sacrifici da parte sua. Preoccuparci della nostra popolarità, del numero degli studenti che abbiamo e della nostra prosperità economica significa barattare il nostro destino e scegliere il fato. Если мы переименуем Кундалини Йогу как Учит Йоги Бхаджан и удалим историю Мастера и все, о чем он говорил в своих лекциях, учителя йоги, скорее всего, не постесняются изменять его учения. И мы знаем, к каким катастрофическим последствиям это может привести - когда одна учительница сменила Со Даршан Чакра Крию, Сири Сингх Сахиб сказала, что она повредит гипофиз, если будет неправильно ее практиковать. Сейчас она принимает тяжелые лекарства и находится в больнице.

Nosotros pedimos una junta de asamblea para discutir cualquier tipo de cambios a los estatutos u otros documentos,  antes de cualquier cambio a las Enseñanzas en cualquiera de sus modalidades.

Nuestros archivos maestros de enseñanzaz la extensa Libreria de Enzeñanza en linea digital, los muchos libros y manuales de yoga, y  el KRI 1-3 , Manuales de Curso para Maestros – son la fundacion de nuestro estilo de vida, nuestra comunidad de yoga, los centros de yoga, Solsticios, Campamento para Niños y Campamento para Mujeres,Todo lo que somos, y todo lo que tenemos hoy, es por resultado de la generosidad del  Siri Singh Sahib para servir el llamado, y enseñar jovenes hippies en busca de la conciencia. Si reenombramos Kundalini Yoga  como fue enseñado por Yogi Bhajan  y removemos de la historia al Maestro todo lo que a dicho en sus clases, maestros se sentiran libres de modificar las enseñanzas. Y nosotros sabemos el sesastre que esto traera – cuando un maestro cambie So Darshan Chakra Kriya, el Siri Singh Sahib dijo ella dañara su pituitaria por practicarlo incorrectamente. Ella ahora es fuertemente medicada y recide en un hospital psiquiatrico.

Yogi Bhajan no fue tal ves perfecto , pero nosotros creemos el positivo impacto que el tuvo en miles y miles de personas son el testamento de  su desinteresado servicio y dedicaciion.
