Yesterday, the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces  confirmed the scope and timing of the report into synthetic turf use in sporting facilities.

He advised that the purpose of the study is to develop an understanding of the benefits, impacts (including social, economic and environmental impacts),  and appropriate use of synthetic turf to inform decisions on surface type material for community sport facilities.

The report is planned for completion by early June. An early findings paper is due to be completed by mid May.

Ku-ring-gai Municipal Council should place a moratorium on all further development at Norman Griffiths Oval until this report is completed.

It's important that we maintain the momentum on this investigation. Please share this petition with your friends and colleagues who share your concerns. Also write a submission to Ku-ring-gai council outlining your concerns.
