High School athletes across the state of Kansas are in fear that we will be losing HALF of our Winter sports seasons. This goes for basketball, wrestling, powerlifting, and swimming! KSHSAA is voting to limit the basketball season on all levels - boys and girl, 1A-6A, to a 13 game season in order "slow the spread" of Covid-19! The vote will happen on November 24, at 1:00pm. This decision was made with no scientific research or reason, as studies have shown that there has been little to NO transmission of Covid-19 from athlete to athlete. WE WON'T LET THEM DO THIS!!! This virus has a 99.96% survival rate in people below the age of 40! KSHSAA is stripping away the freedom of Kansas athletes! IT IS SIMPLY UNAMERICAN!!! Athletes work SO HARD for our seasons. Hours upon hours in the weight room and gym, trying to become the best athlete they can be. This MUST be a decision that come from each individual family in the state, and not a board representing everyone!
