Last year the owner of Village Court Shopping Center, MO Lynchburg LLC - Midland Atlantic Properties, displaced numerous local businesses in order to demolish a section of the shopping center. The reason stated for the demolition was to allow for additional parking spaces on the site. This totally misrepresented the real reason for the demolition which is to construct a Kroger Fuel Center.

To Kroger and MO Lynchburg LLC - Midland Atlantic Properties, we are in strong opposition to the Kroger Fuel Center on Boonsboro Road in Lynchburg for the following reasons:

• We DO NOT want a Kroger Fuel Center on a two-lane road in the residential area of Boonsboro.
• We DO NOT want additional light pollution that a 24-hour Fuel Center will generate.
• We DO NOT want to potentially put out of business two locally owned gas stations that are operating right next door to Village Court.
• We DO NOT want an increase in the already heavy traffic on Boonsboro Road. It is the only access to downtown Lynchburg from this part of town and does not need additional traffic.
• We DO NOT want an increased risk of accidents caused by additional traffic pulling onto Boonsboro Road from Village Court
