Save Our Kroger!
When Barney Kroger started his first store in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1883 he not only sold groceries but he built relationships within his community. These relationships are what built his business to be what it is today. Our Kroger has been building relationships in our community for more than 45 years.
We are a community of more than 20,000 people with limited options when it comes to where we buy groceries. The majority of our residents and small businesses within our community rely on Kroger for their shopping needs.
Our Kroger has consistently had the better prices, variety, meat, and produce of any other local grocer. The employees that have worked for our Kroger have shown their dedication to this community for many years. Kroger has also made numerous donations to organizations, schools, and youth leagues within our community when other companies simply would not.
In 2011, we were forced to have a Wal-Mart placed in the same vicinity as our Kroger, but Wal-Mart doesn’t hold a candle to the qualities that our hometown Kroger possesses. The consensus of this community is to keep the Kroger and lose the Wal-Mart.
The Quincy Kroger is due to shut its doors on April 11, 2014. Please take the time to sign this petition to save our Kroger, and show our Kroger employees how much we value their dedication and service to our community.
