Yesterday the Bega Valley Shire Council gathered to discuss a recent motion put forth by Cr. Catherine Griff, in which the recognition of the climate emergency was stated, and the direct and immediate actions and strategies that are going to be put in place in the Shire were outlined with an appropriate sense of urgency on taking action on the matter. This means victory! The end result was 5 councilors for, and 3 against. I sincerely thank every single one of you incredible supporters for caring and taking time to simply sign away, the petition had a huge impact in the meeting so for that I am forever grateful.
