This petition is to ask the Bega Valley Shire Council to take action for the futures of all the young people of the valley, including myself. 

As young people of the valley, we will face the full impacts of climate change unless all our elected leaders, including local government, take strong and clear action to mitigate the impacts of global warming by declaring a climate emergency. 

If the Bega Valley Shire Council takes action on the climate crisis it will send an emphatic message to our state and federal leaders, and other local councils that we need emergency action to protect our future.
