The twice elected Democrat Judge of Fort Bend County, one of the most diverse counties in the country with a population of just under a million people, has decided to switch political allegiance in the midst of political and personal scandal.

Fort Bend County Judge KP George was indicted on a misdemeanor charge of misrepresentation of identity with the intent to influence an election in 2024, and later in that year indicted on money laundering charges. 

George, the county's top elected official, is accused in court documents of "criminal activity, namely wire fraud," and "tampering with governmental record" in the form of a campaign finance report, with "intent to defraud or harm.”

As a private citizen, KP George is entitled to due process and is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

As the county judge, KP George is setting a terrible precedent for our Democratic Party leaders and any future county judges. He is  fueling divisions in Fort Bend County by refusing to step down.

His recent party change stinks of corruption and appears to be an attempt to “suck up” to the Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton who has also been mired with scandal. 

This petition will show KP George the public, his constituents, and particularly the Democrats who voted for him have had enough. KP George: RESIGN NOW. Fort Bend County deserves better!
