Uncut Dub the Remaining Episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX & 5D’s

Uncut Dub the Remaining Episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX & 5D’s
The Issue
My Reason to Act: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and 5D’s are the best spinoffs to the OG series, and even have a 50-minute crossover movie between these three shows. Although, the first two spinoffs haven’t finished dubbing the rest of their respective seasons and episodes having already existed from the originated Japan. So, I find it unfair for the OG fans like me compared to the other spinoffs beyond that point on the international perspective, and we deserve something better.
Problem: The now-defunct 4Kids production company caused the dubbing embargo twice during the time of traditional broadcasting of the two spin-off shows.
- GX: The fourth and final season (episodes 157 to 180) of GX wasn't dubbed because apparently, it was due to the 4Kids company pursuing the second Yu-Gi-Oh! spinoff series, 5D’s.
- 5D's: Some of the episodes (between 111 to 154) from the last two storylines weren't dubbed, due to the agreement being terminated along with a lawsuit by TV Tokyo and Nihon Ad.
Today, Konami Cross Media NY has since taken over the licensed ownership but has yet to make additional dubbings after the acquisition.
Solution: If we want to finish translating these stories, we need 100,000 signatures to convince the licensed production company to dub the rest of the GX and 5D’s episodes with the following plan regarding voice casting:
- Bring back the existing voice actors capable of reprising their respective intended roles.
- Require newer voice actors to review either GX or 5D’s before voicing a character depending on its availability.
- Make the yet-to-be dubbed episodes as uncut exclusively on either FUNimation or the official YouTube Channel of Yu-Gi-Oh! to satisfy the long-time viewers.
Without The Victory: The additional dubbing process would be indefinite without carefully following the conditions of voice casting for the actor participants. Therefore, it would leave some of the viewers to settle for the subbed versions, while others will simply forgo and move on from these shows.
Benefits: The final dubs of GX and 5D’s will fulfill the OG viewers' interests in finishing these stories in addition to today’s primary target audience outside of Japan. So, please sign the petition and share it with every single You-Gi-Oh! community out there.
