Replace the defective KOBO Aura they sold me that worked for 7 days only!!
The Issue
Kobo sent coupons before Christmas 2014 to entice people to purchase Kobo Aura's. However the Aura worked for 7 days only before it froze! Now after trying to get help from Kobo customer care for the last 4 weeks they have determined through a picture only that it was damaged by me!!! As a consumer there is no protection for us when purchasing Kobo products direct from them!! I want Kobo to stand behind their product!!! Paying over $100.00 to use a device for 7 days is not right!! the final answer from KOBO has been:
"Unfortunately, close analysis has determined that your eReader screen was physically damaged.Physical damage is not covered by our Standard One -Year Limited Warranty which only covers defects in materials and manufacturing.With most device screens, a material or manufacturing defect is evident when the fracture lines on the screen run perfectly vertical and/or horizontal across the screen, meet at right angles, and are not curved or jagged.In contrast, physically damaged screens display completely random, often jagged, curved, and diagonal lines.
We apologize for the inconvenience."
As you can see from the pic below the lines do run vertical/horizontal and meet at right angles!!!
Please help me tell KOBO they need to have:
1st better Quality Assurance with the manufacturing of their defective products!
2ndly for KOBO to stand behind their products!
I have seen many comments and questions in the past on many websites of problems with defective KOBO's and it is time the consumer stopped getting to put it politely- messed around by KOBO!!!
