Our goal is Kobe's official nationally recognized annual Federal holiday that will be called "Day 824" (pronounced "day eight twenty four") taking place on the 24th day of the 8th month every year (August 24th) and its official annual major music festival with free attendance (the official annual festival for Kobe Fans and all fans of the Mamba mentality) called "Day 824 Fest" which will take place on Day 824 (August 24th = 8/24) plus will broadcast live at the official website for Day 824 all to "celebrate Kobe's life and Mamba mentality"! Our goal is the first Day 824 (Federal holiday) to take place this year on 8/24/2020 along with its free attendance festival called Day 824 Fest with all profit from the festival donated to the non-profit organizations and types of positive causes that Kobe Bryant supported in his great lifetime.

ABOUT ME:
I am the Kobe fan who came up with the idea for Day 824 & Day 824 Fest (Federal holiday & free attendance music festival) after I heard the devastating news about Kobe's death, his daughter's death and the death of the other 7 passengers in the helicopter. On the news I heard that Kobe loved writing. I myself was identified as gifted as early as Pre-K, in gifted classes as early as Kindergarten and called gifted by almost every English teacher I ever had throughout my grade school years all the way up to my college English professor. My entire life I have been called gifted for my genius ideas, creativity and artistic talent which is why I am called Ron Genius. I also learned from the news that Kobe loved rap music and wrote pages of rhymes even opening the door for his friend to become an established music producer in the industry due to their shared passion for rap music. I also wrote rhymes as early as high school, started my own rap record label as an adult with my cousin and performed music publicly strictly for the love of music to a local underground fan base and it has been an incredible part of my life up to this very day with much more to come. I thought me and Kobe only truly had the love of basketball and entrepreneurship in common but in his death I learned we had a love for writing in common, passion about music in common and much more. I got in my car after shedding tears about Kobe's death and began driving. Overwhelmed with emotion while driving in my car after seeing+hearing the news and seeing+hearing the numbers "8" and "24" all over Twitter and CNN and elsewhere, it just came to me: "Day 824", a federal holiday and festival taking place on the 24th day of the 8th month of every year that celebrates Kobe Bryant's life, to truly immortalize his wonderfully inspiring and unifying memory forever. Something for all of us Mambas. Something we do to honor Kobe. His day. Every August 24th. Day 824. A Federal holiday every single year dedicated to someone who changed my life with his life, who made me fight with that Mamba mentality every single day, who showed me greatness and who was the blueprint for being a successful, wise, great black father, husband and business man, that I strive to be now and forever.
