STOP THE 7 POINT GRADING SYSTEM IN Knox County Schools

The Issue

The seven-point grading scale for Knox County schools is detrimental for students trying to achieve excellence in their academic life. The grading system is intentionally rigged for uprising generations, it's easier to get an F than it is to obtain a C or above. Intentionally messing with students who are probably in AP classes, playing sports, or keeping a job. In order for students to keep up, they push themselves overboard just to maintain their grade. Then you have families who are in the military. Moving from state to state especially, from different schools; you have student's who are possibly unfamiliar with the grading system. This can potentially mess with their academic career as well. That is why I am petitioning to have the Knox County School District change their seven-point grading system back to the traditional ten-point grading system.
