This was found in the Kmart store at the Churchill Centre, Adelaide. The media, especially Social Media platforms like Facebook have been plastered with images of animal corpses with gun wielding assassins posing beside them. The bodies of elephants, giraffes, lions, wolves, mountain lions, zebras and so on adorn our pages. Most recently, Cecil was killed after being lured from his sanctuary by a cowardly dentist who felt the need to validate himself as a human by taking the life of another. We as a society should be teaching compassion and conservation. Not death and objectification. We live in a day and age where we are informed. We know that animals are being driven to extinction by humans. Extinction is real.
Can you explain to us why a toy department is carrying a toy called an interactive “Wall-Head” animal? This toy has absolutely no place in the world of children’s play and learning. It teaches them nothing but the objectification of an animal for the so-called pleasure of humans. Stop teaching children the wrong lessons. See the groundswell of support after the senseless killing of Cecil, and many more endangered animals, and follow the moral direction set by others already. Take this toy off the market.
