The Issue
Who do you call when you need help? The police!
There is a petition being signed to defund the Klickitat county sheriff's department. We need to show the Klickitat County Board of Commissioners as well as the Klickitat County Sherriff's department that there are residents of Klickitat County who stand with them, that we see their value. Stand with me!
We need our police department to help keep things safe in Klickitat county! They put their live's on the line every single day doing their best to protect and serve us.
Do we need change? Yes, but defunding the police department is going to lead to destruction, death, pain, suffering and so much more that is unnecessary for Klickitat county to go through.
We need to stand together showing our support and dedication to our police department. They need our help!
Human beings are not perfect, we ALL make mistakes. We all need to support one another and support the changes that need to be made to better our police department. However, defunding it will not make it better, it will get rid of it entirely. Who then will respond to car accidents? Who then will respond to domestic violence? Who then will respond to child abuse? Who then will respond to rape, violence, graffiti, theft, drugs, murder, and so many more issues that I'm sure I can not even dream of happening. The police respond and handle all of these issues. They do not complain, they do not act out because of the things they witness.
I will stand with our Police Department! I will continue to teach my children that the police officers are our friends. I will continue to teach my children that Police officers protect us when others will not. My children will grow up to respect the police officers. They will grow up knowing police officers sacrifice their entire lives to serving us!
Thank you Klickitat county police officers for all you do for us! I stand with you!
