Increasingly, people living in their RVs are parking overnight on Santa Cruz city streets in residential neighborhoods and at city parks.  Neighbors are tired of the issues created by these transient RV dwellers, including trash, noise, illegal dumping, drug issues, and others.  We need the City of Santa Cruz to implement and enforce NO OVERNIGHT RV PARKING in the neighborhoods (except on private property).  Appeals are underway from homeless organizations to pressure the city to allow this permanently. We need neighbors to speak out now in order to prevent our city streets, parks and neighborhoods from becoming free RV campgrounds. Areas significantly impacted include Olive Street (CVS), Swanton Boulevard (Natural Bridges), Delaware Avenue, Almar, Pendegast (adjacent to Garfield Park), Fair and Swift Street.  Please sign this petition and let the city know this is not OK with us, and that we want laws enforced to prevent this, including time limitations and space striping.  We would like the county to provide overnight RV parking space in an area where neighborhoods will not be impacted.
