Kiwibank are not releasing WINZ payments until 11PM on beneficiaries payday. This has caused undue stress for many who have previously relied on having funds in their account at a reasonable hour to provide food etc for the next day. There is nothing open at 11pm, eg supermarkets. 

Kiwibank is the only bank in New Zealand to do this. Their reasoning for this change:

" ...we looked at the trend for when MSD payments were processed and received into customer accounts. To provide payment certainty, 11pm was found to be the best time. Take care, ^EL".

It's like talking to a brick wall when asking Kiwibank about their decision.  The same generic response is received. 

Kiwibank, in these unprecedented times, causing undue stress to your customers is not fair. Please reverse your decision.
