As a parent, the intentional hurt or murder of innocent children is something that resonates deeply within me. When we talk about children, we're discussing little ones who deserve to play, learn, and grow without the shadow of fear and violence. Every child, no matter their nationality or region of birth, should be afforded the fundamental right to safety, security, and love.

According to UNICEF, 1,000's of Palestinian children have been killed and many more injured in the last 12 months.  This is an intentional mass slaughter of children.

WITHOUT THE CHILDREN THERE IS NO FUTURE

We, as humans, have a moral obligation to protect children everywhere. It is unacceptable that politics result in the slaughter of innocents. As parents, as community members, and as citizens of the world, we have a voice that can call for change.

I urge the New Zealand Government to take decisive actions. I urge our Government to agree with the recent Independent commission by the United Nations and to publicly declare that Israel is committing genocide in Palestine. I urge our Government to implement sanctions on Israeli goods and services until the mass slaughter of Palestinian children ends.
