If you insist on constantly disparaging school districts for their reading test scores and what you presume that must mean for literacy, why not take the 8th grade ELA MCAP yourself and publish your score?

Seeing as you blame me personally for a deficit in student literacy, yet have failed to ever even correctly spell my last name, and of course your humiliating attempt to define the term that would be the largest in your personal word cloud, I don't think it is an unreasonable ask that you demonstrate your own literacy before you pass judgement on the literacy of others.

The following will not be accepted in place of an 8th grade ELA MCAP score:

• Your SAT scores or any standardized reading test scores from your schooling (standards have changed since the towers fell)
• HS diploma, any college degree or certificate (as you have noted, a student can receive a diploma without being able to read what it says)

P.S I am a Spanish teacher. I am not even tasked with establishing literacy as measured by state standardized testing. In fact, students must demonstrate they already meet that standard in order to enroll in my class.
