Confirmation: at least 2 of the 30 perpetrators are STILL employed in the KSD

We have the minutes from an August Kirkwood School Board meeting, the closed session, that indicates (pictured) what we have suspected. 2 of the 30 sexual abusers named on the Encompass Report are still employed in the school(s)! 

This is absolutely unacceptable! This means that the entire School Board and principal Havener are well aware that at least 2 sexual predators of students, CONTINUE to work at KHS and they have done NOTHING about this! Moreover, they have attempted to assure the community that all is well, that they have done their job and pointed out that the KPD says there are no CURRENT complaints or reports of sexual abuse by teachers or staff of students at KHS. This little misdirection is intentionally distracting. Many cases of sexual abuse are never reported to police to begin with and those that are may have been closed for many reasons by this point. So the point made is nearly meaningless. 

The District has essentially indicated that they have done all they intend to do and that THEY require themselves to do. Apparently they intend to tolerate known sexual abusers as employees of the school...to have sexual abusers on the payroll! Nothing new about this of course...they have had at least 30 sexual abusers on the payroll over the years investigated. 

I hope you are as furious about this new revelation as I am. I hope you find new ways to lodge your complaint against a District that is, without a doubt now, harboring sexual abusers in Kirkwood Schools. If we are to eradicate systemic sexual abuse in the District, it is the system itself we obviously can not rely upon to self correct and to change. We must act on our own and in concert to pressure change. Please share this petition and this update.
